Andretti Formula E Names Campbell Hobson Team Principal as Roger Griffiths Transitions to Senior Advisory Role

Leadership transition builds on 12 seasons of success while positioning the team for its next chapter
INDIANAPOLIS (October 2, 2026) – Ahead of the 2026/27 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship season, Andretti Formula E today announced that Campbell Hobson has been named Team Principal, succeeding longtime team leader Roger Griffiths, who will transition into a senior advisory role supporting Andretti Formula E and the broader TWG Motorsports portfolio.
Hobson steps into the role after playing an integral part in the leadership and day-to-day management of Andretti Formula E. Working closely alongside Griffiths, the Australian has helped oversee the team’s operations, people and performance, making the appointment a natural evolution of the team’s existing leadership structure.
“Campbell has been instrumental in the operation, and we are very happy to see him take this opportunity to lead the team,” said Jill Gregory, President of Andretti Global and Chief Operating Officer of TWG Motorsports. “He knows the program inside and out, has the respect of the team and brings the leadership and competitive drive we need as we look toward the future.”
Griffiths has led Andretti Global’s Formula E program since the Championship’s inaugural season in 2014, helping build the organization into one of Formula E’s most established competitors. Across 12 seasons, the team has achieved much success, earning 13 victories, 46 podiums and a Drivers’ World Championship with Jake Dennis, navigating generations of competition, manufacturer partnerships and technical evolution.
“Leading this team from the beginning has been one of the great privileges of my career, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built,” said Griffiths. “After 12 seasons, this feels like the right time to pass the torch. Campbell has been a trusted part of our leadership for years and understands this organization at every level; he has earned this opportunity. I’m excited to support him while also contributing more broadly across Andretti and TWG Motorsports.”
“Roger has been foundational to this program,” added Gregory. “What he has built over 12 seasons extends well beyond results on track into an exceptional team and culture. This transition allows us to build on that foundation while continuing to benefit from Roger’s experience and perspective in a broader capacity.
“It’s an incredible privilege to take on the role of Team Principal,” said Hobson. “I have tremendous respect for Roger and what he has built, and I’m grateful for the team’s trust and this opportunity. We have a great group of people, a strong foundation and a lot of ambition for what comes next.”
The 2026/27 season begins in Saudi Arabia, with an opening-round doubleheader event at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on December 18-19. Jake Dennis and Felipe Drugovich will return as the team enters the GEN4 era, partnered with Nissan as a customer team.
