INDIANAPOLIS & TOKYO (July 24, 2026) – Andretti Global, a racing team under the TWG Motorsports umbrella, announced today that Andretti Formula E will partner with Nissan as a customer team for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship’s GEN4 era under a new multi-year agreement beginning in Season 13.

The agreement will see Andretti Formula E utilize Nissan powertrains for Formula E’s next technical era, aligning two of the Championship’s most successful and established organizations ahead of the introduction of the new GEN4 regulations.

Andretti enters the partnership as one of Formula E’s longest-serving and most successful teams, having competed in the all-electric Championship since its inaugural season. The team secured the 2023 ABB FIA Formula E Drivers’ World Championship with Jake Dennis, making him the first-ever British Formula E World Champion.

Nissan enters the GEN4 era on the heels of recent Championship success, having secured the 2025 ABB FIA Formula E Drivers’ World Championship with Oliver Rowland. Since joining Formula E in Season 5, Nissan has established itself as one of the Series’ leading manufacturers, earning nine race victories, 34 podium finishes and 14 pole positions.

The announcement comes ahead of this weekend’s 2026 TDK Tokyo E-Prix doubleheader in Japan, Nissan’s home market and one of Formula E’s premier global event locations. As part of the race weekend, Andretti Formula E’s usual TWG AI appearance will be transformed into a special one-off Liberty Walk-inspired livery, celebrating the team’s collaboration with the iconic Japanese automotive tuning brand and paying tribute to Japan’s vibrant car culture.

Looking ahead to Season 13, Andretti Formula E has already confirmed its driver lineup with 2023 ABB FIA Formula E World Champion Jake Dennis continuing with the team following a previously announced multi-year contract extension. Dennis will be joined by Felipe Drugovich, whose place in the Season 13 lineup was confirmed ahead of the 2026 Shanghai E-Prix. The Brazilian will enter his second Formula E campaign with Andretti after securing his maiden podium finish with the team earlier this season at the Monaco E-Prix.

In May, Porsche and Andretti announced that their current Formula E customer partnership would conclude at the end of Season 12, bringing a successful collaboration to a close ahead of the GEN4 era.
