Andretti Formula E Reaffirms Felipe Drugovich for the Start of the GEN4 Era

Andretti Global’s Formula E driver lineup for the start of the GEN4 era is taking shape, with the team reaffirming Felipe Drugovich’s continuance with the team into Season 13 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
The Brazilian joined Andretti Formula E on a multi-year deal ahead of Season 12 as an FIA Formula 2 Champion and Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team reserve driver. Since making thew switch to all-electric racing, Drugovich has started to establish himself within the team, demonstrating his speed, adaptability and technical understanding that made him one of motorsport’s most highly rated prospects. Since his debut with the American team, the No. 28 driver has earned a second-place podium in Monaco, four top-five finishes and two front-row starts. Heading into Shanghai, the rookie is currently the only driver on the Formula E grid to have finished in the top 10 in the last four races.
For Andretti Formula E Team Principal Roger Griffiths, establishing a relationship in the form of fitting into the bigger picture was always the plan. “When we brought Felipe into the team, we centered our relationship as a long-term commitment from both sides with him playing an important part in our future,” Griffiths explained. “He’s shown strong speed, great professionalism and has already achieved his first podium in his rookie season, demonstrating his capability of integrating quickly into the team.”
That continuity becomes even more important as Formula E prepares to enter its next chapter as the Championship introduces its fastest, most powerful and technologically advanced car in history alongside its largest ever calendar.
Drugovich is equally excited about what lies ahead, having already built strong foundations with the team during his rookie campaign. “I’m very happy to continue this journey with Andretti Formula E,” said the Brazilian. “From the moment I joined the team, the goal was always to build something that could carry into the future and I’m excited to be part of the team as we enter the GEN4 era.”
Andretti Formula E will enter the new era with a proven lineup, pairing Season 9 World Champion with Formula E podium finisher Drugovich.
