Andretti Formula E Retains FIA Three-Star Environmental Accreditation

Andretti Formula E has retained its Three-Star Level Accreditation through the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile’s (FIA) Environmental Accreditation Programme, maintaining the highest level of recognition within the FIA’s environmental framework.

Following an audit conducted by the FIA Environmental Accreditation Auditor, Andretti Formula E was congratulated on retaining its Three-Star accreditation, recognizing the team’s continued commitment to environmental management and continual improvement. The next renewal of the accreditation is scheduled for June 2028.

Andretti Formula E has held FIA Three-Star Environmental Accreditation since 2024 and has continued to strengthen its environmental management processes. Since first achieving Three-Star status, the team has also gained ISO 14001:2015 registration, enabling it to complete this latest assessment through the FIA’s Fast Track renewal process.

Commenting on the renewal, Team Principal Roger Griffiths said, “Retaining our FIA Three-Star Environmental Accreditation is a great recognition of the continued work being done across our team to improve the way we operate and reduce our environmental impact.” The team’s environmental strategy has been built around continual improvement, with Griffiths adding, “it’s encouraging to see the progress we are making across areas including energy, waste, travel and carbon management. We know there is always more we can do and we’ll continue to challenge ourselves to find further opportunities to improve as we move forward.”

The latest assessment highlighted the maturity of the team’s environmental management system, recognizing Andretti’s comprehensive approach to monitoring its environmental impact, including carbon-footprint data covering its Banbury headquarters. The team’s waste-management and sustainable travel initiatives were also highlighted, including recycling team clothing where possible and promoting walking, cycling, public transport and car sharing. The retention of FIA Three-Star accreditation reflects Andretti Formula E’s continued commitment to embedding environmental responsibility across its factory and trackside operations.
