Notes
Andretti INDYCAR
- Since the NTT INDYCAR SERIES’ return to Road America in 2016, Andretti INDYCAR has collected one win (Rossi – 2019), two poles (Rossi – 2019, C. Herta – 2023), five podiums, 13 top-five finishes, 18 top-10 finishes and led 116 laps.
Colton Herta
- Colton Herta will make his eighth race start at Road America this weekend. During his rookie debut at the Wisconsin circuit in 2019, Herta captured his first NTT P1 Award, making him the youngest pole-sitter in NTT INDYCAR SERIES history at just 19 years, 83 days.
- In addition to his impressive rookie debut at Road America, Herta secured his second pole position in 2023, has only started outside the front row twice, has never finished outside of the top 10 and has recorded five top-five finishes on the Wisconsin road course.
- Despite starting in the front row at last year’s race, Herta was hit twice by competitors at the beginning of the race, forcing him to make an unscheduled pit stop that sent him to the back of the field. The Gainbridge Honda steadily moved through the field over the next 55 laps, ultimately leading nine laps and finishing just outside the top five.
Kyle Kirkwood
- Coming off his third win of the 2025 season at WWTR this past weekend, Kyle Kirkwood is set to make his fourth start at Road America.
- The American driver will look to build on last year’s performance, where he secured a career-best start and finish and led three laps on the Wisconsin road course. Starting fourth, Kirkwood avoided a multi-car incident on Lap 1 to remain in the top 10 throughout the race before working his way up to fifth position with six laps to go. This marked Kirkwood’s fourth career top-five finish at the time.
Marcus Ericsson
- Marcus Ericsson will start at Road America for the eighth time this weekend. Throughout his previous appearances at the Wisconsin road circuit, Ericsson has only finished outside the top 10 once, has always improved on his qualifying position in the race, gaining 42 positions total and earned his first podium at Road America in 2022 with a second-place finish.
- At last year’s race, the Swede took the green mid-pack and worked his way into the top 10 by the second half of the race, ultimately taking the checkered flag in ninth.

Andretti INDY NXT
- The Andretti INDY NXT team will take on the fourth road course of the 2025 season this weekend at Road America after capturing an oval victory last weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway. In the team’s 13 starts at the track dating back to 2016, the team has collected five wins (Herta – 2018 Race 1, Norman – 2019 Race 1, Kirkwood – 2021 Race 1, Rasmussen – 2022, Chadwick – 2024), six poles (Herta – 2017 Race 2, O’Ward – 2018 Race 2, Frost – 2021 Race 1 & Race 2, Robb – 2022, Chadwick – 2024), 19 podiums, 25 top-five finishes and 93 laps led.
- Andretti INDY NXT’s Jamie Chadwick made history at this track last year after sweeping the Road America race weekend, scoring her first INDY NXT pole and win. Taking the green at the front and leading every lap of the race to checkered, Chadwick became the first woman to earn a pole on an INDY NXT road or street course, the first woman to win an INDY NXT race on a road or street course and only the third woman to capture victory in series history.
Lochie Hughes
- Coming off his first oval win at WWTR, Lochie Hughes is to make his INDY NXT debut at Road America this weekend. Hughes has a history of success on the Wisconsin circuit from competing in the USF Pro 2000 Championship, where he collected three wins (Road America Race 1, 2 & 3) and one pole (Road America Race 1) at last year’s race.
- In his three road course starts this season, the Australian driver has collected one win, two poles and two podium finishes.
Salvador de Alba
- Salvador de Alba returns to Road America for his second INDY NXT start on the Wisconsin track. Despite a tough qualifying session at last year’s event, the Mexican driver quickly moved his way up the field during the race before facing electrical issues on Lap 10, ultimately forcing him to retire from the race after repairs couldn’t be made in time to continue.
- Prior to his INDY NXT rookie debut, de Alba had success at Road America in USF Pro 2000, where he captured a podium and top-five finish during the 2022 doubleheader race weekend and a top 10 finish in Race 2 in 2023.
Dennis Hauger
- With one pole and two wins on road circuits this season, Dennis Hauger will look to add more accolades to his resume when he takes on Road America for the first time. In just three starts on road courses this season, Hauger has taken the green from the front row each time and has led a combined 100 laps.
James Roe
- Making his fourth start at Road America, James Roe has a history of strong results at the Wisconsin circuit since making his INDY NXT debut at the track in 2022. The Irish driver earned a top-five finish in 2023 and has only taken the checkered outside the top 10 once.
- Last year’s event forced Roe to pit for a new front wing after facing contact on the opening lap of the race. The unscheduled stop dropped the No. 29 to the back of the field, and unfortunately, Roe was unable to recover after going a lap down.
Seb Murray
- Rookie Andretti Cape INDY NXT driver Seb Murray will make his first start at Road America this weekend. Murray has competed on two other road courses this season, capturing his first top-12 result of the season at Race 1 of the Indianapolis Grand Prix.
Ricardo Escotto
- Ricardo Escotto will make his first INDY NXT appearance at Road America this weekend with the Andretti Cape INDY NXT team. Escotto’s best finish result this season was on a road course, crossing the checkered in P9 at Barber Motorsports Park.
- While competing in USF Pro 2000, Escotto captured a top-five finish in Race 1 of the Road America race weekend last year.

Team Quotes

Colton Herta
No. 26 Gainbridge Honda
“Road America is definitely one of the best permanent road courses in the country. It’s a really cool race, and it makes it even better that we’ve had a lot of success there. We usually have a strong car at Road America, so the goal is to keep that going and go after a win this weekend with the Gainbridge crew.”

Kyle Kirkwood
No. 27 Siemens Honda
“Road America is a track we’ve had success on, and it’s always been a track that I enjoy. It’s such a long, flowing circuit, and because our stints are relatively short, strategy tends to be pretty straightforward. With the new pavement it has been changing a lot over the past couple of years. The first year was extremely fast, and the next year was a little bit slower, so it’ll be interesting to see what it’s like this year. Coming off back-to-back wins in Detroit and St. Louis, I’m ready to add another first to my win list with a road course victory this weekend in Road America.”

Marcus Ericsson
No. 28 Fresh Connect Honda
“Road America is my favorite road course on the calendar. It’s such a beautiful track that has everything— elevation changes, high-speed and slow-speed corners. With all of the long straights and big braking zones, it’s also a track that offers a lot of overtaking opportunities. I’ve had success at Road America in the past and am looking forward to getting back there this weekend.”

Rob Edwards
Chief Operating Officer

“The month of June has been pretty good to us so far, so we’re looking to keep the momentum going at Road America this weekend. The track has been a favorite for drivers and fans alike, with exciting racing in a great location. Hopefully, we can celebrate another win with some Wisconsin beer and brats on Sunday night!”

Lochie Hughes
No. 26 McGinley Clinic/USF Pro Championship Dallara
Andretti INDY NXT
“Road America is probably my favorite race of the year. It’s a super fun track and a great event. I love the Elkhart Lake area and enjoy exploring it while I’m there. The racing at this track is always really competitive. I’ve had a lot of success here in the past, and after the win last weekend in St. Louis, I hope we can continue that success this weekend.”

Salvador de Alba
No. 27 Grupo Indi Dallara
Andretti INDY NXT
“Road America is a great track on the calendar with high-commitment corners and very long straights. It’s a fun track to race on and one of the most iconic ones that we go to during the year. It’s also great to see all the fans come out and enjoy the event with camping and cheering us on.”

Dennis Hauger
No. 28 Nammo Dallara
Andretti INDY NXT
“Road America is definitely one of my bucket list tracks. I’ve dreamt of racing here one day since I was a kid, so I can’t wait for the experience to finally do it. We haven’t had any testing there, so Practice 1 of the weekend is going to be my first outing on the track. So, it’s going to be cool to see how we get going. I think the team has a great package here, and hopefully we can do something good this weekend.”

James Roe
No. 29 Topcon Dallara
Andretti INDY NXT
“Road America is one of my favorite circuits to visit. I moved to Elkhart Lake when I first came to the States when I was 18, so I’ve spent a lot of time at this track. It’s one of the most famous tracks in the world, so I’m glad that INDY NXT has this as a stop on the calendar. It’s a very technical track with the longest lap we run this year, making the racing really fun, so I can’t wait for us to get out there again.”

Seb Murray
No. 2 Dream Racing Dubai Dallara
Andretti Cape INDY NXT
“Everyone speaks so highly of Road America, so with it being my first time out there, I’m really excited to experience it for myself. I know that this track is known for putting on some good racing, so I’m sure that it’s going to be a fun one with the team and No. 2 crew.”

Ricardo Escotto
No. 3 Frank’s Red Hot Dallara
Andretti Cape INDY NXT
“We’re heading to Road America, and I’m very happy to be going back to this track. This is probably my favorite road course that we visit during the season. I really enjoy the racing here, and the environment that it’s in, so I’m hoping to keep some good momentum going into this race.”

Don Lambert
Team Manager

“Coming off an exciting race weekend at WWTR, the team is pumped up and ready for the iconic road course at Road America. Andretti INDY NXT has had very good cars there in the past, and last year’s 1-2 finish by Jamie Chadwick and Louis Foster was a great moment for team. So, I hope to continue our success there this weekend.”
