INDYCAR Team Quotes
Will Power
No. 26 TWG AI Honda
“Washington, D.C. is going to be a big event for INDYCAR, and I’m really looking forward to racing in such an iconic place. We’re coming off a podium last weekend, so hopefully we can carry that momentum into this weekend and put ourselves in a position to fight for the win. It would be pretty special to be the first driver to win here.”

Kyle Kirkwood
No. 27 Sam’s Club Honda
“Growing up as a race car driver, I never would have thought I’d be able to say that we’re racing on the Streets of Washington, D.C. It’s going to be a very special event. Outside of the Indy 500, it could be one of the biggest events we have. I know how much effort has gone into making this happen and how long it’s been in the works. This isn’t your typical street course that gets set up in a few days. There have been many months of preparation and work that have gone into it, so I’m excited to get there and see it all come together.”

Marcus Ericsson
No. 28 Acura Honda
“Racing on the Streets of Washington, D.C., with all these historical buildings and monuments around us is something so unique and cool. There’s never been anything like it. The track itself is challenging and quite short, which should create a lot of action. With a long race, I’m sure there will be a lot of ups and downs. It’s just going to be a great event, and after the win last weekend, I’m excited to get back in the car and see what we can do in D.C.”

Ron Ruzewski
Team Principal

“Looking forward to a big event this weekend with the new Washington, D.C. race. We really hope to capitalize on carrying the momentum of the last couple weeks forward. With an inaugural event, it’s always special to win, and to win in the nation’s capital would be even more special. We’re going to do everything we can to make sure our cars are in the best position possible on race day.”
