INDIANAPOLIS (May 27, 2026) – Andretti Global, a racing team under the TWG Motorsports umbrella, announced today that longtime partner Siemens, a global technology powerhouse, will return as the primary partner for the No. 28 Siemens Honda piloted by Marcus Ericsson at the Detroit Grand Prix.

For 29 years, Siemens technology has played a critical role in the performance and development of Andretti Global’s INDYCAR program. Today, that same race-proven technology continues to provide a competitive edge both on the track and across some of the world’s most demanding industries.

As digital transformation accelerates, Siemens unlocks new levels of speed, efficiency and innovation for Andretti Global through advanced simulation, AI-driven analytics and connected digital tools. Using the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio and the comprehensive digital twin, Andretti Global engineers can model, test and predict race performance before a car ever turns a wheel, reducing physical prototypes and accelerating development.

Andretti Global has achieved an 80-percent reduction in engineering analysis time through Siemens Xcelerator, allowing engineers to quickly adapt designs, process real-time race data and evaluate thousands of performance scenarios before issues arise on track. Siemens’ Teamcenter® software also keeps trackside crews and headquarters engineers fully synchronized, enabling faster, data-driven decisions throughout a race weekend.

The same predictive analytics and digital twin technologies used by Andretti Global to optimize race performance are also used across manufacturing industries worldwide to improve efficiency, reduce downtime and maximize operational performance.

Siemens remains Andretti Global’s longest-standing partner, serving as the team’s official software technology partner since 1997. Live coverage of the Detroit Grand Prix will air live on FOX on Sunday, May 31.

“Motorsport is one of the most demanding engineering environments in the world, and it’s where Siemens proves what’s possible. From AI-driven engineering to the comprehensive digital twin, Siemens is redefining how teams design, build and race at speed. Our partnership with Andretti Global is a powerful example of how Siemens Xcelerator brings together software, data and automation to drive performance on the track and innovation across industries.”

MARCUS ERICSSON, DRIVER, ANDRETTI GLOBAL

“It’s exciting to have Siemens back as a primary partner. They’re a company I’m proud to represent, and it was special to have them with us last year in Detroit. We obviously do quite a bit of work together with Siemens, and they help us as a team perform. It’s been a great partnership, and I’m looking forward to continuing it in Detroit.”
