Andretti Formula E Team Ambassador Nerea Martí to Drive Iconic Porsche 962 at 2026 Berlin E-Prix

INDIANAPOLIS & BERLIN (May 1, 2026) – Ahead of Rounds 7 and 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in Berlin, Andretti Formula E Team Ambassador Nerea Martí is set to drive the iconic Andretti Porsche 962 as part of Porsche Motorsport’s 75th anniversary celebrations, taking to the track between qualifying and race sessions across both days of the Berlin E-Prix weekend.

Martí will drive the historic car in front of sold-out grandstands at the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit, a staple venue on the Formula E calendar. The demonstration runs will take place on both Saturday and Sunday, offering fans a unique opportunity to see one of Porsche’s most celebrated endurance racing cars in action alongside the all-electric Formula E field. The showcase will also feature a selection of other iconic Porsche machinery, including the 550 Spyder, 911 RSR “Pink Pig” and Geneva 917, as part of the brand’s 75th anniversary celebrations.

The Porsche 962 holds special significance for the Indianapolis-based squad, with this particular chassis having been driven by father-son duo Mario and Michael Andretti at the 1984 Rolex 24 at Daytona. Marking the model’s competitive debut, the car started the race from pole position, highlighting its performance credentials, although it ultimately did not finish the event due to an engine issue. Its presence in Berlin serves as a symbolic link between Andretti’s heritage and Porsche’s long-standing commitment to motorsport excellence.

Customer racing has been a cornerstone of Porsche Motorsport for 75 years, a philosophy that continues today across its global racing programs, including Formula E. The collaboration between Andretti and the Porsche factory team reflects this enduring approach, with customer teams playing a central role in the brand’s success across both traditional and electric racing categories.

Martí’s participation in the demonstration further reinforces Andretti Formula E’s commitment to celebrating motorsport heritage while engaging fans through unique on-track activations. As Team Ambassador, Martí continues to play an active role in the team’s fan engagement and outreach efforts, bringing audiences closer to the sport through experiences that connect past and present.
