2.11.26

Andretti Formula E heads to Jeddah for the Championship’s first doubleheader and PIT BOOST race of Season 12 with a standout record in Saudi Arabia, having claimed more wins, podiums and front-row starts than any other team. The U.S. outfit has secured three consecutive pole positions in the Kingdom and celebrated a milestone at the first Diriyah E-Prix, when António Félix da Costa’s Season 5 victory marked the first time an Andretti driver led the Drivers’ World Championship.

Jake Dennis has excelled in Saudi Arabia, taking all three of the team’s Qualifying Duel wins, scoring 99 Championship points across Diriyah and Jeddah and becoming the only driver in the all-electric series to claim both Fastest Laps during a doubleheader weekend in the Kingdom. Felipe Drugovich arrives in strong form after a breakthrough 2026 Miami E-Prix and brings proven success at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit from his FIA Formula 2 title-winning season

“Miami was a difficult weekend for me. We didn’t really have the performance that we expected or wanted, but we managed to scrape a valuable Championship point that may prove important later on during the year. Regardless of Round 3’s result, I’m still feeling confident heading into the next race in Jeddah, where we finished fourth last year. This year, the aim is simple, try and improve a few places higher to get onto the podium.

The Jeddah layout has a good blend of high and low speed corners, which makes the racing exciting. It’s also the first PIT BOOST race of the year, so that’s going to bring in a new layer of strategy. Moreover, it’s always fun having a night race on the calendar, so I’m looking forward to getting out on track. We’ve always done well racing in Saudi, so we’ll be aiming to continue our momentum, try to get back into the higher point scoring positions and continue on in our Championship challenge.”

“Although the Miami race didn’t go to plan, there were still plenty of positives to take away. There was a combination of things that we just kept working on within the setup, which gave me a bit more confidence in the car and, ultimately, helped me drive better. It was like a snowball effect, and I think that’s what made everything click a little bit more, which was very satisfying.

I’ve always enjoyed racing in Jeddah. I have some good memories from racing there in Formula 2 and it’s probably one of my favorite tracks, so I’m intrigued to see what it’s like to race on the shorter version we use in Formula E. It’s always enjoyable to drive at a night race so hopefully we can build from what we had in Miami and just keep improving, learning and building more confidence.”

Roger Griffiths

Team Principal

“The upcoming races in Jeddah mark both the first doubleheader and PIT BOOST race in the season, which will bring additional challenges compared to the first three race weekends we have completed. The team has been practicing the PIT BOOST charging procedure during previous rounds’ Free Practice sessions, while the strategy team has been busy analyzing ways to best take advantage of the opportunities that a PIT BOOST E-Prix presents.

We are also hopeful that the reliability issues with the charger we’ve experienced are now a thing of the past, as this certainly impacted the overall outcome of our races on previous occasions. The circuit itself is one that should hopefully play into both of our drivers’ hands. Felipe’s pace in Miami, coupled with his previous experience at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, sets him up nicely for the upcoming pair of races.

Last season in Jeddah, we struggled with our outright Qualifying pace because of several aspects that the engineering team has been working on through the offseason. So far this season, though, we have seen some strong Qualifying performances, with the Andretti Formula E team appearing in the Duels at every race so far. With both our drivers finding confidence within the car, once again, we’re aiming for a set of strong results as we travel to Saudi Arabia.”
