GGT Energy Solutions, an experienced leader in providing sustainable building automation, master integration and energy management-related services, will join the Andretti INDYCAR family of partners at the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on the No. 98 MAPEI / CURB Honda of Marco Andretti.

“Andretti Global is a world-class organization committed to winning both on the track, and by leading the field for sustainability accomplishments in the racing community,” said Sam Galbraith, Vice President of GGT Energy Solutions. “GGT Energy Solutions is excited to join Andretti for this year’s Indianapolis 500, and we’re looking forward to working with them to identify new energy-saving opportunities across their racing teams and valued partners.”

Founded in 2015 and with over 275 years of combined business experience, GGT Energy Solutions provides common sense energy-saving solutions built around an open-protocol, open-license framework that maximizes electrical, lighting and other energy consumption systems. Whether it is excess energy usage from improper design, undefined operations and maintenance (O&M) programs, lack of temperature control, inadequate or inefficient lighting, a sub-par building envelope, GGT Energy Solutions helps organizations not only understand those issues but also develop a wide array of strategies to bring both problem resolution and sustainable, energy savings.

“While GGT Energy Solutions is no stranger to the world of motorsports with all of their work helping race teams maximize their energy and O&M savings, we are honored to have the opportunity to introduce them to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and the Indianapolis 500,” said Doug Bresnahan, Chief Commercial Officer of Andretti Global. “As Andretti Global continues to prioritize our commitment to being a motorsports leader within the sustainability space, partners like GGT Energy Solutions are key to making that goal a reality. With sustainability best practices top of mind, we’re looking forward to exploring the ways that we can continue working together both on and off the track.”

Andretti Global currently holds its ISO14001:2015 certificate, a globally recognized Environmental Management System (EMS) standard that organizations use to identify and manage their environmental impacts and establish goals and targets for improvement, in both its US and UK-based operations. Andretti Formula E, the team’s all-electric racing division, was additionally awarded the FIA’s Three Star Environmental Accreditation, the highest level of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile’s Environmental Accreditation program.

GGT Energy Solutions will ride along with Andretti as he makes his 19th Indianapolis 500 start piloting the No. 98 MAPEI / CURB Honda, having scored the pole position in 2020, four top-three finishes and eight top-10 results at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway oval. The GGT Energy Solutions branding will make its INDYCAR debut with the Andretti Herta with Marco Andretti and Curb-Agajanian entry at the INDYCAR IMS Open Test at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway April 10-11 in preparation for The Greatest Spectacle in Racing on May 26.
