MARCO ANDRETTI TO RUN UNITED FIBER & DATA HONDA FOR SELECT INDYCAR EVENTS
The No. 27 machine of Marco Andretti will take on a new, but familiar, look for four races in the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series season as the blue wings of United Fiber & Data return to the Andretti line up. The Pennsylvania-based tech company will serve as the co-primary sponsor for IndyCar race events in Phoenix, Long Beach, Pocono and Boston with side-pod branding. Additionally, United Fiber & Data remains an associate on the No. 28 DHL car of Ryan Hunter-Reay for the duration of the season. United Fiber & Data joins Snapple and hhgregg as Andretti’s lead partners for the 2016 IndyCar campaign.
“We’re really pleased to see United Fiber & Data continue to grow as they return to Indy car racing,” said team owner Michael Andretti. “While the UFD colors were not on the cars in 2015, we’ve remained close friends with a solid partnership. I’d like to thank the entire UFD family for their continued support and look forward to seeing the No. 27 United Fiber & Data / Snapple car on track in Phoenix.”
“Unmatched speed, strategy, and technology…these qualities are synonymous with Andretti Autosport and IndyCar, and they are equally integral to United Fiber & Data’s (UFD) fiber communications network. Our sponsorship support for Andretti Autosport is symbolic of the relationships that connect UFD to our clients and technology partners. That’s why this partnership means so much to us, and we’re excited to see the familiar colors of the UFD livery as we return as a primary sponsor for select IndyCar races across the country,” said Bill Hynes, Founder & CEO of United Fiber & Data.
This is the third season in the relationship between Andretti Autosport and United Fiber & Data, who served as a major associate sponsor with the Indianapolis-based in team 2013 and 2014, and as a full primary sponsor for the No. 27 in 2014.
The Verizon IndyCar Series next races at Phoenix International Raceway on April 2, with live broadcast on NBC Sports Network. Additionally, the IndyCar Radio Network will air the race on network affiliates, Sirius 212, XM 209, IndyCar.com and via the IndyCar Mobile App. Andretti Autosport fields four full season entries with Andretti, Ryan Hunter-Reay (No. 28 DHL Honda), Carlos Muñoz (No. 26 Honda) and Alexander Rossi (No. 98 Castrol Edge / Curb Honda).
