Andretti Formula E heads to Tokyo for the penultimate race weekend of Season 12 as the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship prepares to make history with its first-ever night race in Japan. Set against the backdrop of Tokyo Bay, the challenging 2.575km, 18-turn street circuit around Tokyo Big Sight combines long straights, technical corner sequences and heavy braking zones, demanding precision, confidence and efficient energy management. Arriving third in the Teams’ Championship after a strong 38-point haul in Shanghai, the American squad will look to build on its momentum as Jake Dennis remains within striking distance of the Drivers’ title and Felipe Drugovich continues his impressive run of form following his maiden Formula E pole position. The 2026 TDK Tokyo E-Prix also marks the debut of Andretti Formula E’s landmark collaboration with iconic Japanese automotive brand Liberty Walk, with both cars sporting special liveries, alongside special-edition race suits, team kit and merchandise for a spectacular new look under the lights.

- Andretti Formula E will debut a one-off collaboration with iconic Japanese automotive company Liberty Walk at the 2026 TDK Tokyo E-Prix, featuring a bespoke chrome race livery, inspired by Liberty Walk’s iconic Silhouette builds, special-edition race suits, team kit and merchandise as the team takes to the streets under the lights for Formula E’s first-ever night race in Japan.
- The 2026 TDK Tokyo E-Prix will be Formula E’s first night race in Japan, with the Andretti Formula E team having previously won under the lights at the Season 10 2024 Diriyah E-Prix I, taking the Fastest Lap of the race in the process.
- The Season 12 doubleheader event marks the all-electric Championship’s fourth and fifth races in the Japanese capital. During Formula E’s first visit to Tokyo in 2024, Andretti scored 23 Championship points as Jake Dennis finished third and Norman Nato secured sixth.
- Following a successful Shanghai E-Prix weekend with 38 points scored across the doubleheader event, Andretti Formula E drivers have now scored over 500 Championship points in Asia (520) – the most points of any team.
- The Andretti Formula E team wraps up the China leg of the season having scored the most Championship points of any team in the country from the Sanya and Shanghai E-Prixs (76 points).
- For the first time since Season 1, an Andretti Formula E driver has started from pole position three times in the same season.

- Jake Dennis claimed a podium finish in the very first Formula E race in Tokyo during Season 10 with a third-place finish.
- The Season 9 World Champion took part in the very first Qualifying Duel in Tokyo against Mahindra Racing’s Edoardo Mortara, losing out on a spot in the Semi-Finals though still claimed a top-five starting position.
- The British driver has out-qualified all of his previous teammates in each Qualifying session in the Japanese capital.
Felipe Drugovich
- Felipe Drugovich has scored 65 Championship points this season, becoming the first teammate of Andretti’s Dennis to score over 50 points since Season 7 (Maximilian Günther).
- The Brazilian is the only driver on the grid to have finished in the top 10 in the last six races, having scored the most points by any driver in the last five E-Prix (63 points).
- The two E-Prixs in Tokyo will be the No. 28 driver’s sixth and seventh races in Asia, with 51% of his Championship points scored for Andretti having been from the continent.
- Drugovich claimed his first pole position in Formula E last time out in Shanghai’s Round 13 race. In doing so, the Brazilian driver becomes the fifth driver to have started on pole position for Andretti Formula E (after Jean-Éric Vergne, António Félix da Costa, Alexander Sims and Dennis).

“Coming out of the Shanghai weekend, our hard work paid off with more points from another back-to-back double points finish, Jake’s podium along with Felipe’s maiden Formula E pole position. These results helped move the team into third overall in the Teams’ Championship, but there is still much more to be fought for as we enter the penultimate event in Tokyo.
Tokyo is fast proving to be a favorite with all that attend and this year should be no exception, especially for the Andretti Formula E team where we will be racing under the lights in a one-off livery celebrating the partnership with Liberty Walk, the iconic Japanese car tuning and lifestyle brand. We have seen in the past that Tokyo is a challenging circuit, the walls are the track limits and will punish those that overstep the mark. The 18 corners in just under three kilometers is not going to give the drivers much rest, especially through Turns 1 to 8. The combination of surfaces changes, bumps, the proximity of the walls and now the heat in July will keep drivers on their toes.
With the city of Tokyo seeking to revitalize its famous nightlife, the night race at the Big Sight is the ideal place to be and the Andretti Formula E team certainly hopes to be lighting up the night skies when the checkered flag is waved at the end of the race.”
