Proven Talent and New Leadership Define Andretti Global’s 2026 INDYCAR Program

2.24.26

Andretti Global comes into the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season with one of the most accomplished driver lineups in the paddock and an INDYCAR program that includes numerous wins, Championships and Indianapolis 500 victories. In 2025, the team earned multiple race wins, while Kyle Kirkwood finished fourth in the INDYCAR Championship Standings. As prep continues for the season opener on the Streets of St. Petersburg this week, the focus turns to building momentum in the opening rounds of the 2026 season.

Will Power: Champion Pedigree and Record-Breaking Experience

Announced last September, Will Power joins the Andretti Global lineup as one of the most accomplished drivers in INDYCAR history.

The INDYCAR veteran brings over 20 years of record-breaking open-wheel experience to Andretti Global, holding the series’ record for most pole positions (71) and ranking fourth on the all-time INDYCAR win list with 45 career victories. In over 300 starts, Power has led over 5,000 laps and currently sits fourth on both the all-time INDYCAR podium (108) and top five (142) lists. The Australian cemented his place in history with his 2018 win at the 102nd Running of the Indianapolis 500 and two INDYCAR Championship titles in 2014 and 2022. His experience adds depth to the Andretti lineup as he begins a new chapter determined to add more wins to his resume.

Kyle Kirkwood: Breakout 2025 Performance

Five-time INDYCAR race winner Kyle Kirkwood enters 2026 following a career-best season that included multiple victories and a fourth-place finish in the INDYCAR Championship Standings.

The 2025 season was highlighted by a Long Beach sweep, back-to-back wins in Detroit and his first oval victory at World Wide Technology Raceway. Following his breakout season, Kirkwood signed a multi-year contract extension to remain with Andretti Global. Since joining Andretti in 2023, Kirkwood has delivered five wins, three pole positions and six podium finishes and led more than 300 laps. Now entering his fourth season with the team, the focus shifts to consistency as Kirkwood looks to build on that momentum.

Marcus Ericsson: Veteran Strength in the Season Ahead

Indianapolis 500 champion Marcus Ericsson enters the upcoming season with four career wins, along with 21 top-five finishes, 60 top-10 results and 177 laps led. After a 2025 season that fell short of expectations, the Swede enters 2026 with a focus on consistent results.

2026 Partner Support

Beyond the driver lineup, the program comes into the season with strong partner support across all three cars. On Will Power’s No. 26 Honda, TWG AI, the advanced intelligence division of TWG Global, serves as the primary partner and has been named the Official Artificial Intelligence Partner of Andretti Global under a strategic multi-series partnership. Kirkwood will carry the JM Bullion / Gold.com colors starting at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and continuing at upcoming rounds at Phoenix International Raceway and on the Streets of Arlington and Long Beach. The partnership began in 2024 at the 108th Running of the Indianapolis 500 with Marco Andretti and continued in 2025 as Kirkwood represented JM Bullion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and Portland International Raceway. Gold.com will remain on the No. 27 as an associate partner for the entirety of the 2026 season. On the No. 28, Delaware Life returns with Ericsson, continuing its involvement with the Andretti INDYCAR program that dates back to 2018.

Andretti Global: Competition Leadership

This season marks Ron Ruzewski’s first as Team Principal across Andretti Global’s INDYCAR and INDY NXT by Firestone programs. Ruzewski brings more than three decades of open-wheel experience to the role, including multiple Indianapolis 500 victories, race wins and Championships. His work with Will Power helped deliver the 2022 INDYCAR Championship, and he spent more than 10 years working closely with Helio Castroneves, contributing to numerous wins and Castroneves’ third Indianapolis 500 victory in 2009.

Eyes on the Season Ahead

With race-winning experience across the lineup, Andretti Global kicks off the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season on Friday, February 27 on the Streets of St. Petersburg, with the 100-lap race airing live on FOX on Sunday, March 1 at 12:00 PM ET.
