Andretti Formula E Confirms Multi-Year Contract Extension With Jake Dennis

INDIANAPOLIS (February 26, 2026) – Andretti Global, a racing team under the TWG Motorsports umbrella, announced today that Season 9 World Champion Jake Dennis has signed a multi-year contract extension with Andretti Formula E, reaffirming a long-term commitment between driver and team that will carry into Season 13 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and beyond.
The announcement comes exactly five years after the British driver made his Formula E debut with the Indianapolis-based squad at the Season 7 Diriyah E-Prix in 2021. Since then, Dennis and Andretti have formed one of the longest-running and most successful driver-team pairings in series history.
Joining the then BMW i Andretti Motorsport squad in Season 7, the British driver has become the team’s most successful Formula E driver. His accomplishments include the Season 9 Drivers’ World Championship title in 2023, seven race wins, 24 podiums, seven pole positions and a team-record 700 career points, hallmarks of Andretti’s most competitive streak in the Championship.
The multi-year extension will take the 30-year-old into his seventh season in the all-electric series. Dennis’ progression with Andretti Formula E has seen him establish himself as one of the benchmark drivers of the current Formula E era. His resume includes finishing third in the standings as a rookie and setting multiple Championship records, among them the most points (229) and podiums (11) scored in a single season, the most Formula E Grand Slams (2) and the most Final Duel appearances of any driver (14).
Today’s announcement marks five years of partnership between Dennis and Andretti Formula E while underscoring the team’s long-term ambition and stability. The Season 9 World Champion will be back in the No. 27 Andretti Porsche 99X Electric in a few weeks’ time as Formula E makes its race debut in the Spanish capital for the first time with the 2026 CUPRA Raval Madrid E-Prix on March 21, 2026.
JAKE DENNIS, DRIVER, ANDRETTI FORMULA E:
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be signing a multi-year deal with Andretti Global. For me, it made perfect sense to continue our partnership and my career with the team, a team which I’ve been with from the start of my Formula E career. The belief the team has shown in me over the years has been incredible, and that trust means a huge amount. We’ve built something really strong together, and I’m proud to continue that journey with a group of people I know so well and genuinely enjoy working with. There have been so many great memories together, and I’m confident we can continue our success into the future.”
ROGER GRIFFITHS, TEAM PRINCIPAL, ANDRETTI FORMULA E:
“I am beyond pleased to be able to make this announcement. At the time, when the team, along with BMW, initially partnered with Jake, we never could have imagined how the relationship would develop. Jake has been an integral part of Andretti Formula E’s transformation into one of the series’ leading teams of today. His commitment to us, his belief in the team and ours in him, is one of the key reasons for all of the success we have been fortunate enough to have experienced together. We look forward to closing out the current season as strong as we started it before transitioning to Season 13 together.”
