Andretti Formula E Set for Season 12 with Record-Breaking Legacy and a Formidable Driver Lineup

12.1.25

Andretti Formula E enters Season 12 with one of the most established records in the Championship’s history and a refreshed lineup ready to build on more than a decade of all-electric success. As one of only six teams to have raced in every Formula E race, the Indianapolis-based squad is one of the Championship’s true originals. The team has scored points in a record 33 cities, remains one of only two teams to have led races in 20 different cities and has led the field during a total of 36 E-Prix.

Andretti has had strong momentum on its side throughout the best part of a decade in Formula E, being the only team in series history to have taken pole position in each of the last seven seasons, coupled with at least one podium in all those seven. To date, the team has delivered 26 front row starts and 14 pole positions, including an unmatched run of four consecutive fastest laps set during Season 10. Across its history, 10 drivers have taken podiums for Andretti and 16 have scored points, both Championship records.

The U.S.-flag team has seen talent thrive in many forms, from Alexander Sims taking three consecutive pole positions in 2019 to clinching a top three finish in the Team’s Championship during Season 9, Andretti’s highest finish to date. The team also holds a unique piece of Formula E trivia, as Robin Frijns and Antonio Felix da Costa formed the closest aged driver pairing ever, born just 24 days apart.

Jake Dennis: World Champion and Andretti Record Holder

Jake Dennis begins his sixth campaign with Andretti as one of the most successful drivers in Formula E history. The British driver claimed the Season 9 Driver’s World Championship title with a dominant 229 points and 11 podiums, records that both remain unbeaten by anyone. His consistency is another standout marker, as the 30-year old holds the best average Championship position of any driver with a 4.8 average finish across his five seasons.

Since joining the Championship with Andretti, he has led more than 250 laps and reached the Duels 29 times, accounting for the majority of the team’s 40 total Duel appearances. His 661 points make him the highest scoring driver in Andretti Formula E history, with his 79 race starts for the team double that of any other Andretti driver. Dennis has demonstrated his speed from day one. His rookie campaign in Season 7 ended with a remarkable third place in the Driver’s Standings, the best rookie finish since Season 3. He holds the third best qualifying head-to-head record against teammates on the current grid and claimed his maiden win in just his sixth race, making him the quickest driver to do so outside of the inaugural Formula E season.

Felipe Drugovich: A New Chapter for a Proven Talent

Felipe Drugovich joins Andretti Formula E in Season 12 as the 22nd driver to race for the team, bringing with him a track record of speed, adaptability and Championship pedigree. The Brazilian made an immediate impact on debut during the 2025 Berlin E-Prix weekend, becoming the first driver since Season 9 to score points in his maiden Formula E event. He did so by demonstrating his brilliant racecraft, gaining 12 positions during his last outing, climbing from 19th to seventh.

Drugovich arrives for his full-time Formula E debut with a strong foundation from junior formulas. His 2022 Formula 2 championship remains one of the most dominant in series history, with his 265 points placing him fourth on the all-time points list ahead of names like Lando Norris, Nicholas Latifi and Alexander Albon. The Brazilian’s Euroformula Open title run in 2018 remains unchallenged to date, with a record 14 wins, nine poles, 16 podiums from 16 races and 405 points from a possible 432. Now, he steps into a well-deserved full-time seat with Andretti ready to translate his talents into results at the highest level of electric racing.

Charging up for Season 12

With proven Championship-winning capabilities from a powerful driver lineup and a decade of proven performance, Andretti Formula E enters Season 12 ready to challenge at the front once again. The wait is nearly over, as the opening round of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship’s largest ever calendar takes place on December 6, 2025, in São Paulo, Brazil.
