Andretti Global and Honda Unveil Special Livery for Kyle Kirkwood at Mid-Ohio

INDIANAPOLIS (July 2, 2025) – Andretti Global, a racing team under the TWG Motorsports umbrella, announced today that the No. 27 Andretti Global Honda piloted by Andretti INDYCAR’s Kyle Kirkwood will run a special, Honda-inspired livery this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
Designed to celebrate Honda’s pursuit of innovation and performance, the new look for the No. 27 Honda entry will debut on track during the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio presented by the all-new 2026 Passport. The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course holds special meaning for Honda, with the manufacturer’s Marysville Auto Plant under an hour away from the track, and with more than 12,000 employee tickets distributed, the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio is a centerpiece in Honda’s impressive motorsports calendar. The 4th of July race weekend also marks a major milestone for the Honda organization and the series as a whole – the one-year anniversary of the INDYCAR hybrid era, a movement Honda has helped lead both on and off the track.
Honda has dominated the 2025 INDYCAR season with Kirkwood playing a pivotal role in the manufacturer’s success as one of only two drivers to win this season. The Florida native has captured three wins powered by Honda this year, including the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, the Detroit Grand Prix and the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at World Wide Technology Raceway, bringing his career INDYCAR win count to five.
The No. 27 Andretti Global Honda will take to the track for the first time sporting the Honda livery in the weekend’s opening practice on July 4, with the holiday weekend race airing live on FOX at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 6.
JILL GREGORY, PRESIDENT, ANDRETTI GLOBAL
“Honda has been a phenomenal partner, and their performance this season speaks for itself. We’re proud to have played a key role in their dominance so far. Mid-Ohio is a big weekend for both of us, and we’re honored to run a special livery that celebrates everything we’ve accomplished together. We’re looking forward to delivering a result that reflects the strength of this partnership.”
CHUCK SCHIFSKY, MANAGER, HONDA & ACURA MOTORSPORTS
“We are thrilled to have Honda represented on the No. 27 Andretti Global machine of Kyle Kirkwood this weekend. We’ve had a long partnership with the Andretti organization, and when the chance came up to have Kyle run a Honda-branded car here at the Honda race at Mid-Ohio, we jumped at it. It’s a great opportunity to bring awareness to all parts of the Honda brand—from planes, motorcycles and power products, to road cars and our hybrid-powered Indy cars—especially on this one-year anniversary of INDYCAR going hybrid. We have thousands of Honda associates from our five Ohio manufacturing plants and the North American R&D center coming to watch the race, and seeing that Kyle is one of only two drivers to win so far this year, and all nine races have been won by Honda, we’re hoping we can continue that streak and put on a great show for them.”
