ANDRETTI FLIES TO POLE FOR PIRELLI GT4 AMERICA SPRINT RACE 1 AT THE GLEN

Jarrett Andretti wheeled his #18 Andretti Autosport McLaren 570S GT4 to the overall Pirelli GT4 America pole at Watkins Glen with a best flying lap of 1:54.687. “Yeah it’s great!,” Andretti stated “We didn’t expect this here at Watkins Glen, but the team made some changes and we kept chipping away at it and it feels great to get my first pole of the season!”

Pro championship leader Ian James had a fast lap late in the session and will start from second in his #50 Panoz Avezzano GT4 with a time just .019 seconds off the pole time. Gar Robinson in the #74 Robinson Racing Chevrolet Camaro GT4 put his car third with a 1:54.777 lap with the sister #72 Robinson Racing entry of Shane Lewis fourth. Spencer Pumpelly in the #66 TRG Porsche 718 Cayman CS MR will start fifth with Michael Cooper and the #10 Blackdog Speed Shop McLaren 570S GT4 sixth after posting a 1:55.174.
